Sentosa Adventure Cove

Credits to my friend Huifang for taking the photos in this post. She used a waterproof camera. :)

My friends and I decided to check out Adventure Cove at Sentosa. The ticket to Adventure Cove costs $29 and this waterpark is situated right next to the S.E.A Aquarium (world's largest aquarium). We realised when we were there that you can actually buy tickets as a package to visit both Adventure Cove and the S.E.A Aquarium.
We went Adventure Cove on a Monday morning so the waterpark was rather empty and we didn't have to queue much for the rides! It only got crowded after around 1pm.

Walking to adventure cove. Excited!!

The entrance of adventure cove. They allow you to re-enter the park (e.g. if you go out to eat lunch halfway) as long as you have your ticket with you. We thought it would rain but we had surprisingly good weather!

After leaving our belongings in the lockers, we headed to this river thingy. We thought it was a ride at first, but later found out that it was just a way to get around the different places in the waterpark by floating on a float along this river. Alternatively, you can walk around the park.

Cruising along the river. My friends and I held hands and screamed when we drifted away from each other... only to realise that the water is only chest deep. Hahaha!

We got off along the river at a stop to snorkel! The water is pretty salty, deep and cold. There were many fishes though! The staff at the exhibit checked with us that we could swim before we were allowed to snorkel. One thing I like about this waterpark is that there were lifeguards everywhere, so it felt safe!

A closer look at the fishes! After we finished snorkelling and got out of the water, the we saw a fish that had a concussion and hence a swollen head :( The staff attended to it, but they let it go in the end although it couldn't really swim properly!

Then, we saw this green slide and decided to sit this ride! We didn't know that our first ride in the park would end up the scariest! It was fun though :) To me, this was the only ride worth sitting. The rest of the slides were just tooooooo short in duration, like even before you can have fun, it's over! :( It's even worse if you had to queue very long for the ride.

After that, we went to the wave pool! It looks like a man-made beach with generated waves!

The waves came for about 10 min at a time, before stopping for another 10 min. It was really fun floating up and down the waves! However, it got quite crowded from like 2pm onwards. To avoid crowd, I recommend that you visit the park on weekdays (non school holidays) 10am-1pm.

Look what we saw when we looked up from the wave pool! Jewel box cable car! I reviewed this in the blog's first post!

After sitting a few other rides, we went back to the river because we wanted to see the aquarium in the river!

We floated along till we saw the aquarium!

We floated down the river somemore and caught sight of the dolphins! The dolphins exhibit is not open to public according to the staff there. Why??!?! :(

Then we saw stingrays! You can get to touch and play with the stingrays at the stingray exhibit for an additional $30. But we were content with just viewing the stingrays through the glass. :)

I love the way they swim! So graceful... as if they are flying.

A spotted ray.

Another different kind of spotted ray!

There were also marine fishes together with the rays... to keep the rays company? :p

A stingray's eye looks like ... a cat's eye?

Smiley ray! :)

Smiley ray from the side!

This ray seemed to be in the process of burying itself in the sand. Rather cute!

The rays really have very long tails! We actually got hungry and craved for sambal stingray after looking at all the rays! Hahaha!
It's a pity we didn't get to take much photos because it's quite troublesome to walk around the waterpark with your belongings. We even left our slippers at the locker area and walked barefooted around the park, as did almost everyone there.

All in all, I would say that Adventure Cove is worth going (if you haven't gone)! My friends and I really had a blast there! However, it might be a little scary for you if you cannot swim. I mean, it is a waterpark after all! If you can't swim, safety might be an issue.

On a side note, no photos of my friends and I because we were all wet and sun burnt! Oh yes, do remember to slather on as much sunblock as possible and reapply after 1-2 hours.
